Hyannis season comes to a close, lose to Falmouth 8-2

HYANNIS, MA – The 2016 season came to a close Saturday night for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks who couldn’t find their footing in a series with the number one seeded Falmouth Commodores in the Western Division of the Cape Cod Baseball League playoffs. The Hawks lost 8-2 in Game 2 of the playoff series against the Commodores in what ended up being their final game of the summer. The Hawks offense came alive late in the game during the 7th inning but it would ultimately prove to not be enough to save Hyannis’ season.

Commodores’ starter Brady Singer dominated the Hawks hitters all night allowing just three hits and striking out five before getting pulled following the 6th inning. Singer was one of the top pitchers in the league all season and forced the Hawks offense to stall until it was too late in the game.
